weekly principal updates

Yealey Families,

It's been a very busy week here wrapping up the school year. We have had a couple of grade levels at Lincoln Woods. 3rd and 4th graders completed their KSA state testing this week while K and 1st finished their spring MAP test. While we won't get KSA scores back until Fall, the MAP test results show that schoolwide our students are above average in reading and math and more importantly made a lot of growth. For reading and math our growth scores were over the 50th percentile rank nationally. I'm proud of my Bobcats for a year of hard work!

Next week, we will have two more grade levels at Lincoln Woods, PAWS Awards on Wednesday, 5th grade promotion on Thursday, and our Talent Show Thursday evening. If you're free Thursday evening please come see the amazing acts. We have a very talented group of Bobcats and a great producer who can put the acts together to bring out the best in everyone!

The last day of school for students is next Friday, May 29th. But, this will be my last update for the year because I know next Friday will be filled. We will have a normal, non-construction filled, summer here at school. So, look for information on our open library nights and be sure to come visit us! Our Back To School Fair will be 8/13/26, 4:00 - 7:00 and class lists will be posted about a week before that. I will send more info on that in August.

As I finish my 11th year as your principal, I continue to be filled with gratitude that I can serve the Yealey families and community. I love watching my Bobcats learn and grow. Thank you for trusting me with your children each day. They are the reason I come to work each day!

Enjoy the long weekend and have a safe, fun-filled summer!
